On 11 September, Between Us x Manifest will step into Funkhaus Vienna for the first time — a space that feels tailor-made for the occasion.

It has big rooms, brutalist architecture and serious sound, not to mention plenty of room to get lost in the music. We’re taking over this unique venue for an evening inspired by the sound of the Paradise Garage — not as a throwback, but as a reference point: soulful house, deep grooves, long journeys, and dancers.

For the night, Between Us and Manifest are coming together, bringing their different takes on the same thing: music that makes you want to stay and people you want to share the night with.

The project of experimental post-punk artist and writer Anna Francesca from Vienna, Beaks weaves revealing poetry through bodied anthems, landing somewhere in between waking life and a dream-sequence. A multidisciplinary artist, Beaks studied photography and graphic design while working as an international model, having walked for high-profile brands including Celine, Vivienne Westwood, Miu Miu, Chanel and more. Modeling, however, was always a side quest. In 2023 she released her debut single ‘I Dropped the Bottle’, which has since seen over 4 million streams and performed across tours in London, Tokyo and Berlin, cementing Beaks’ position as a resonant and immersive artist across multiple formats.

Hailing from Amsterdam but coming from various backgrounds, Altın Gün has captured the world’s imagination with an indelible fusion, for over five years now. The band combines psychedelic rock, deep funk, synthpop, cosmic reggae, and more with the rich and incredibly diverse traditions of Anatolian and Turkish folk music. Debut album On (2018) quickly captured the world’s attention and a year later the band earned a prestigious GRAMMY Award nomination for “Best World Album” with it’s sophomore LP Gece (2019).

Lebanon Hanover are an ice cold reply to the alienated world coming from two warm beating hearts. Larissa Iceglass and WilliamMaybelline appear as true romantics of the modern age, admiring William Wordsworth, fascinated by the beauty of art nouveau aesthetics, exploring British seashores and forests at night, whilst being inspired by the urbanism of Berlin.
